Contantinos Chaidalis ‘Mapmaking’
Posted on February 24, 2010 in Illustration:

Greek illustrator Constantinos Chaidalis has created a whimsical series titled ‘Mapmaking,’ bringing various materials and imagery together to form works that despite being indescribable, manage to maintain a sense of cohesiveness within and between them. The pieces, which arguably channel the work of artists such as Eduardo Recife, maintain a creativity that has the ability to intrigue the viewer, being both aesthetically appealing and adventurous. Chaidalis’ work remains innovative, demonstrating restraint in its content so as to not overwhelm its audience, but all the while remaining full of meaning.
